Why Tea Bags Suck?

Why Tea Bags Suck?If you are still buying tea bags and don’t really enjoy the flavor of it, maybe it’s time for you to change? It appears that some people dislike the taste of tea, yet, they have never actuality tasted the real thing aka loose leaf tea.

So what exactly is in a tea bag?

Well, tea dusts, obviously, that are usually collected from the bottom of container.

Loose leafs contain essential oils that provides a delightful taste of tea. When leafs are broken up, those oils tend to evaporate over time leaving you with a tasteless thing that some people call “tea”. Furthermore, dusts dry out quickly while sitting in the marketplace for many months.

In case you are interested, check the different types of tea grades. Needless to say, tea bags are in the very bottom.

Are there any advantages of tea bags?
Yes, they are cheaper and contain more caffeine (if you think it is a good thing) per gram, but that’s pretty much it.

What about myself?
Well, my favorite is silver needle (Bai Hao Yinzhen) grade tea that is considered to be the highest quality among white teas.

The highest of the Bai Hao Yinzhen should be fleshy, bright colored and covered with tiny white hairs. The shape should be very uniform, with no stems or leaves. The very best Yinzhen are picked between March 15 and April 10 when it is not raining and only using undamaged and unopened buds. Fujian Province, China.

So, dump those tasteless tea bags and get a real thing. Better taste, smell and improved health benefits. Now, you can’t go wrong with that, can you?

I agree. Tea bags are ugly. Whenever I use a tea bag, I can never taste anything! I love to drink Darjeeling tea which I usually buy as a loose leaf tea option. It’s considered as the champagne of the different tea flavors. The rest of course, are mere wines.
