Is it worth to get link from .edu or .gov?
Of course, every link helps you.
However, most of webmasters are still looking to get links from domains which ends .gov or .edu. In my point of view there is no difference between .gov and .com or so on. Some says that .org domain would rank higher than .com for example, but that’s false.
Why? Because it’s just another domain.
They can give you boost for sure (as any other quality link) but that’s not cause it’s .gov or .edu.
People are tend to link more to such a sites, so they have higher page rank, most of thoose domains are very old, and as we all know search engines (especially “Google“) loves high quality links. That’s why you get boost. No magic at all, just another high page rank link. But if site don’t have many links or even PR0 then there will be no boost.
