Google Checkout Goes UK
Since now Google Checkout is available to online shops and shoppers in the United Kingdom.
Official Adwords Logo Confirmed
So it’s official now. Adsense blog confirmed new look for Adsense ads.
I think it has to be edited. Since in one of my sites ”Ads by Google” is in
the top and it screws my site main look a bit….
Google Adwords “Insanity”
It seems that Google really loves to test new “Ads by Google” images, visited 4 sites today (2 was mine), and everywhere noticed different style. However, first it was not so public and used to show very rarely, but not now. So good luck Google.
Yahoo! Goes Up While Google Goes Down
Well I was surfing via finances.yahoo.com and decided to compare two giants: Yahoo! and Google. Very interesting results.

While Yahoo! goes well with Panama, Google having some problems with YouTube.
If you would look to numbers it’s obvious that Google is in the lead, but that’s just interesting to watch how two giants fighting in stocks market.

Do you remember rumors about Google phone? Now they are not just rumors, it’s oficially confirmed.
It will include all Google services like Gmail, Google Maps, Blogger and more…
It’s not official photo, but who can know…

Google Adsense - Horizontal Lines?
What’s up with Google today? More AdSense tests.
Notice image near text? This goes with ads.
Nice.
Google Testing New AdSense Format (Again And Again)
More tests from Google. This time AdSense looks like this:
I don’t think it’s bad. They’ve tried about 10 or even more formats and that’s great. Every test help us to get higher CTR. Thank You.
Again, they are testing this only, not in public yet.
Google Will Anonymize Search Data
When you search on Google, we collect information about your search, such as the query itself, IP addresses and cookie details. Previously, we kept this data for as long as it was useful. Today we’re pleased to report a change in our privacy policy: Unless we’re legally required to retain log data for longer, we will anonymize our server logs after a limited period of time. When we implement this policy change in the coming months, we will continue to keep server log data (so that we can improve Google’s services and protect them from security and other abuses)—but will make this data much more anonymous, so that it can no longer be identified with individual users, after 18-24 months.
So here you go.
Google Checkout Promotion Cost Is $58 Million
58 million dollars. That’s how much money Google spent on promoting Google Checkout in all of 2006.
If $58 million a drop in the bucket for megabucks Google? Maybe, but its not the way I’d want my company to do business. Google is pushing Checkout by buying its way into the market, not on any perceived merits of its product. If your product can’t at least perform reasonably well without you dropping $58 million to get it there, maybe it doesn’t deserve to exist at all.
Thanks to Nathan Weinberg for notifying us.
Viacom Sues Google Over YouTube
Entertainment giant Viacom Media says it will sue web search engine Google and its video-sharing website YouTube for $1bn (£517m).
Viacom alleges that about 160,000 unauthorised clips of its programmes have been loaded onto YouTube’s site and viewed more than 1.5 billion times.
That’s the way to sue them :-) And also, Google shares decreased by 2.6%
